The goal of this project is to provide Romanian entrepreneurs with access to information about investment funds and success stories about Romanians living abroad for the purpose of promoting Romanian entrepreneurship and foreign investment in Romania. We hope to do this by developing a database of investment funds and a compilation of interviews with successful Romanian business people abroad to be made publicly available to Romanian entrepreneurs.
NOTE: All positions have been filled in for this project.
The project aims at lobbying for legislation for the introduction of electronic or mail-in voting for Romanian citizens living or working abroad.
Please see our official campaign website for more details: http://diasporavoteaza.org
The project aims at bringing the voices of Romanian professionals from abroad into the local Romanian press. Their perspectives will be made available through interviews and debates, allowing them to serve as role models for young Romanians.
The project aims to create indicators/scores (and implicitly, a website) of the main Romanian economic sectors. This will be a “one stop shop” that summarizes and brings together information currently dispersed throughout the web by reliable and relevant sources. The beneficiaries of the project will be foreign investors, Romanians abroad, and Romanian citizens.
NOTE: All positions have been filled in for this project.
This project intends to make a positive impact on the life of Romanian law school students, lawyers, legal consultants, and judges. We will organize lectures on law and the practice of law in Romania. We will also offer the opportunity to young Romanian lawyers or legal consultants to gain work experience by interning for periods of three to four months with law firms abroad.
Internet users are keen to tell others about their travel experiences and share information about their favorite places. The community will be the link between the people who know and love Romania, and those who are curious to learn more. Here you will be able to share and enjoy photos, travel stories tips and more from friends in Romania and all over the world.
Many Romanian students and young professionals had been in the situation of having to present Romania abroad at their university, workplace or even among their circle of foreign friends. They have been confronted with having to build from scratch a presentation while searching the web for relevant information.

The project aims to make Romanian cinema more accessible to the international stage by creating an online platform that offers information on how to organize Romanian film festivals abroad. Support high-potential young Romanians (ages 14-23), interested in studying abroad and building a successful international career, by connecting them with accomplished professionals with international education and work experience who can help them develop and realize their vision for success.
Project aims to redefine the image of role-models in the Romanian media to inspire students with ages between 15 to 25 to understand the value of education.
An extensive public relations campaign will be run in Romania featuring success stories of inspirational figures from public and private sectors (young teachers, lawyers, business people, doctors etc.) who attribute their success to education. The main goal of the campaign is to send an educational, yet cool message to the younger generation and honor those who serve our country in both public and private sectors without making compromises for financial purposes only. The campaign will conclude with a gala honoring the featured participants for their contribution to making Romania a better place through education.
Positions open: Research Coordinator, Videographer, Media Relations Coordinator.
Create an online portal with links to educational resources to serve as a resource for people from Romania who are always seeking to broaden their horizons and learn more. The main component of the portal will be a blog-type interface where there will be regular posts under categories such as the following: studying abroad (links and info about rankings, funding, application process, stories about people abroad), conferences, fellowships, grants, lectures, talks, free courses, open journals. The website posts are written by the project team as well as by other contributors who can be recruited from outside GRSPSociety. Ultimately, this website would be the perfect resource for Romanians who are always seeking to broaden their horizons and learn more.
This portal could also host a database of Romanian researchers in particular fields, especially researchers who are currently abroad.
The first main partner confirmed for the portal development is Romstudyabroad (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/romstudyabroad/)

The beneficiaries of this project are the students and professors of the medical universities.
Romania has a goal of spending 0,35 % of its GDP on projects in developing countries beginning in 2011. There is a lot of potential for Romania to make a genuine contribution to the developing world, not just to be a passive EU donor.
The goal of this forum is to facilitate a debate among relevant stakeholders about the position of Romania as a development partner.
This annual forum should bring together important stakeholders (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FOND, Development NGOs, European policymakers, diplomats, international agencies, development scholars and workers) to debate and contribute to a more transparent and genuine image of Romania as a development partner.
