Economic Sectors Evaluation Cards

Project information

The project aims to create indicators/scores (and implicitly, a website) of the main Romanian economic sectors. This will be a “one stop shop” that summarizes and brings together information currently dispersed throughout the web by reliable and relevant sources. The beneficiaries of the project will be foreign investors, Romanians abroad, and Romanian citizens.

Position descriptions: 

Sector Manager

1. Description: manage a specific policy sector evaluation card; sort through the data provide by Industry Researchers, organize data
2. Skills: Data management, research experience, Internet Research, Excel, expertise in a certain economic sector is a plus

Industry Researcher

1. Description: help gather data- provide research in specific sectors
2. Skills: Internet research, Excel, some data research experience a plus along with expertise in a specific industry sector

Contact Coordinator

1. Description: Identify economic sectors specialist in various areas (media, banking, academia, etc.) from both Romania and abroad, and establish contact either for feedback on research gathered or for suggesting research resources, validating data, etc.
2. Skills: Communication skills

Database Coordinator

1. Description: Help present content and interactive features/interfaces to the end user
2. Skills: Web Design & database experience

Several positions available for the entire project - won’t be focused on just one economic sector.

Economic areas could include typical economic sectors/specific industries (agriculture, health, education etc.) as well as more specific/narrower categories (finance, consulting, etc.). We basically want to see what types of areas people have most expertise in, and we'll start with those. Please make your suggestions based on your expertise/passion/interest below and choose the role best fits your expertise, interest & time. One person can handle multiple roles as well.

All advertised positions are unpaid. All GRSPSociety members, including its leadership team, work on a voluntary basis.

There are no geographic requirements--many of our team members work together virtually from different corners of the world.

Andra Ivan

I am a product of Romanian education applied to American research institutions. My formal degree is in computer science, where I researched problems in artificial intelligence and bioinformatics.
My non-professional interests primarily focus in business development and economics. I have always aspired to entrepreneurship, and this is the reason why I have joined various organizations and industries to gain experience and appreciation of business problems and customer interaction.
In the past I have participated in development of software products marketed towards large companies, health care institutions, and currently I am contributing to a government project.
