Position description: 

Responsibilities
• Create and implement annual fundraising plan and strategy
• Lead and manage the association's overall development efforts to raise the annual budget; work with the treasurer to achieve this
• Train and lead other staff to support fundraising and marketing efforts
• Cultivate relationships with current and potential corporate & foundation sponsors
• Develop and grow our individual donor base
• Support working group staff with information and know-how in achieving their fundraising needs
• Coordinate the fundraising efforts for the Annual GRSPSociety Conference (to be held in November 2010)
• Write grant proposals and reports to corporate, foundation, and government funders
• Work with the Communications Director to help in the developement and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy
• Develop new and imaginative fundraising activities, often events-based
• Lead and manage fundraising for the new GRSPSociety Bucharest office

Requirements
Willingness to commit at least 4 hours per week for the above mentioned responsibilities (position not limited by geography), and enthusiasm for GRSPSociety's goals. Experience in the field of fundraising and grant writing is a plus.
