The GRSPSociety working groups are the main functional units of GRSPSociety. They are virtual communities that allow their members to interact on the basis of their academic and professional interests. They serve as a forum for interaction and debate and give their members opportunites for collaborating on projects within their field of interest as well as developing themselves professionally.

The working groups run their own promotion and activities, with the assistance of the GRSPSociety Board. The WGs are primarily but not exclusively focused on the following key activities: policy research, advocacy, civic campaigning, communication with members and non-members, organization of academic/public events, and specialized projects. The Working Groups also contribute to the agenda of future GRSPSociety events (e.g. GRSPSociety Annual Conference).
